Do you like boats? Are you creative? Then you’ll like Boatbuilding for Creatives!

Join artists Leo Boyd and Laura Nelson for a day of boatbuilding in Vault Artist Studio gallery/project space (Marlborough House, Victoria Street, Belfast) on the 13th of April from 11 till 2pm.

With the help of the people of Belfast, Water Works in conjunction with Belfast 2024, aims to make 10,000 boats to be launched in the Lagan in August and this is your chance as a creative to get involved and build the boat that every creative has inside them.

Build a surrealist skiff, a cubist coracle or Dada tall ship and we’ll see if they float in the giant paddling pool.

All materials, from cardboard to masking tape and miniature sails, are provided.

Boatbuilding for Creatives is a free drop in workshop and is open to everyone.
